They must possess a Primary Medical Qualification (like MBBS) from a recognized medical institution located outside India.
The qualification must be verified by the Indian Embassy in that country.
The final result (i.e., passing of all subjects and graduation) of the primary medical qualification must have been declared on or before 30th April 2025.
Candidates must be able to produce documentary proof that their degree makes them eligible to practice as a medical practitioner in the country where the degree was awarded.
Candidates who obtained their medical qualification from countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, or the United States of America and have also completed postgraduate medical qualifications from these countries may be exempt from FMGE (details under exemptions).
