CLAT 2026 Application Form

CLAT Registration 2026 (OPEN): The CLAT 2026 registration date has been extended by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) until November 7, 2025. Candidates can register online through the official Consortium of NLUs website. The registration fee is ₹4,000 for General, OBC, PwD, and NRI candidates, while SC, ST, and BPL candidates need to pay ₹3,500.  

CLAT 2026 will be held on 7 December 2025 in offline mode. The exam is conducted for admission to UG law courses at 24 participating NLUS.

How to Apply for CLAT Exam 2026?

Candidates need to visit the official website of the Consortium of NLUs to register for CLAT 2026. Eligible candidates can follow the given steps to fill out the CLAT application form:

  • Visit the Official Website: Go to the Consortium of NLUs official portal at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  • Register Yourself: Click on the 'Register' button and enter your name, mobile number, email ID, and create a password. Verify your mobile number through the OTP sent to complete registration. The CLAT Registration 2026/ Login Window looks like this: 

  • Fill the Application Form: Log in with your credentials and enter personal details, academic qualifications, communication address, and choose your preferred test centers.
  • Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph, signature, category certificate (if applicable), and other required documents in the prescribed format.
  • Select NLU Preferences: Choose and rank the National Law Universities where you want to seek admission.
  • Pay Application Fee: Pay the application fee online through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI to complete your CLAT Registration 2026. 
  • Submit and Save Confirmation: Review all details carefully and submit the form.

The CLAT 2026 application fee varies based on the candidate's category. If candidates opt to receive the question paper, they need to pay an additional ₹500. The fees are non-refundable and can only be paid online through credit/debit cards, net banking, or UPI.

Documents Required for CLAT Registration 2026

For CLAT 2026 registration, candidates need to have certain important documents ready for upload during the application process. These documents are essential to verify eligibility and identity. Given below is the list of documents required to fill CLAT Application Form:

  2. Signature of the candidate

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

CLAT 2026 eligibility criteria require candidates to have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination for undergraduate programs, with no upper age limit. These requirements must be fulfilled before applying for CLAT 2026.

How to Recover the CLAT 2026 Login Password?

If a candidate forgets their CLAT 2026 login password, they can easily recover it by following a few simple steps:

  1. Go to the official CLAT Consortium website and open the login page.
  2. Click on the “Forgot Password” link below the login window
  3. Enter your registered mobile number or registration number as requested.
  4. Click on “Request OTP” to receive a one-time password on your registered mobile. 
  5. Enter the OTP received, create a new password, and confirm it. 
  6. Your new password has been created. Use this new password to log in to your account. 

CLAT 2026 Application Correction Window

The Consortium will open the CLAT 2026 application correction window after the completion of the registration process. During this period, candidates who have submitted their applications can make corrections to details such as name, date of birth, category, exam center, academic information, and uploaded documents.

Steps to Edit the CLAT 2026 Application Form:

  1. Visit the official CLAT Consortium website (consortiumofnlus.ac.in).
  2. Log in using your registration ID and password.
  3. Click on the “Application Correction Window” link.
  4. Make the necessary changes in personal details, category, exam center, or uploaded documents.
  5. Review the changes carefully and submit the corrected application form.

CLAT 2026 Exam Dates 

CLAT 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 7, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM in offline mode across various centers in India. Admit cards are expected to be released in the third week of November 2025. The result declaration and counselling registration are also expected to take place in December 2025.
