AIL LET 2025

AIL LET 2025: AIL LET counselling schedule 2025 has been released on the official website at www.ail.ac.in. The counselling process will be held online, with BA LLB sessions for the Army category scheduled on July 8 to 10, and for Indian Navy, Air Force, and All India General categories on July 11, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be sent a Google Meet link for participation in the counselling. Aspirants must upload the mandatory documents through the official portal of the Army Institute of Law, Mohali. Reporting at the Army Institute of Law, Mohali, is scheduled for July 23, 2025, followed by orientation on July 24 and 25. 

The AIL LET result 2025 was declared on 3 June 2025, followed by the release of the final merit list on June 12. Earlier, the exam was conducted on 24 May 2025.

What is AIL LET 2025?

AIL LET 2025 (Army Institute of Law Law Entrance Test) is an institute-level exam conducted by the Army Institute of Law, Mohali, for admissions to its BA LLB (Hons) programs. The exam will be held online across designated test centers in India on 24th May 2025. The exam is designed to evaluate candidates' aptitude for law and their understanding of various subjects such as English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and Legal Awareness. AIL LET 2025 Application Process

The AIL LET 2025 application process began on March 25, 2025, and candidates could register online at the official Army Institute of Law website until April 26, 2025, without a late fee. Following registration, they will receive a User ID and password to access the application form, where they need to fill in personal and educational details. The application fee is set at INR 3000, with an additional late fee of INR 1000 applicable if submitted after the deadline. Candidates are advised to ensure that all information is accurate to avoid rejection of their application. The application correction window was opened from May 5 to May 7, 2025, allowing candidates to make necessary edits before final submission.

AIL LET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying for the AIL LET 2025 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria. 

  • Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education from the Punjab School Education Board or an equivalent recognized board, securing a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates who have passed their 10+2 through compartment papers are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who completed their 10+2 through Open Universities without basic qualifications are also ineligible.
  • Students appearing for their qualifying exams in March-April 2025 can apply, provided they achieve the required marks and submit their results on time.

AIL LET 2025 Exam Pattern

The AIL LET 2025 exam pattern outlines the structure and format of the entrance test for admission to the Army Institute of Law. The exam will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into four sections: Mental Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Law Aptitude, and General English. Candidates will have 2 hours to complete the exam, which will be conducted in an online format. Each correct answer will earn one mark, with no negative marking for incorrect responses.

 

AIL LET 2025 Exam Syllabus

The AIL LET 2025 syllabus consists of topics to be covered under four sections namely, Mental Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Law Aptitude, and General English. AIL LET 2025 Counselling

AIL LET 2025 counselling will be conducted online via Google Meet. The process will commence on July 8 for BA LLB (Army category, ranks 1–55), continuing on July 9 for ranks 56–105, and on July 11 for Indian Navy, Air Force, and All India General categories. Candidates must send scanned copies of their required documents by email before their counselling date and attend the virtual session as per their merit rank and category. The final merit list was released on June 12, and only shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate. Reporting at the Army Institute of Law, Mohali, is set for July 23, followed by orientation on July 24 and 25.
