AILET 2026

AILET 2026: The National Law University (NLU), Delhi, released its revised notification on 22 July 2025, with new AILET 2026 exam dates. Now, AILET 2026 will be held on 14 December 2025 from 2 pm to 4 pm, instead of 7 December 2025. AILET registration 2026 will open from 7 August 2025 on the official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The deadline to complete the AILET 2026 application form will be 10 November 2025. 

Candidates meeting the stated AILET 2026 eligibility criteria must complete their registration before the deadline. Based on the AILET 2026 scorecard, candidates will get admission to BA LLB and LLM programs at National Law University, Delhi, and other participating colleges.

What is AILET?

AILET stands for All India Law Entrance Test. It is a national-level examination conducted by the National Law University (NLU), Delhi, for admission to its undergraduate (BA LLB), postgraduate (LLM), and PhD law programs. AILET is conducted annually and is considered one of the most prestigious law entrance exams in India. Clearing AILET is mandatory for candidates seeking admission to NLU Delhi's law courses.

AILET Exam Pattern 2026

AILET 2026 will be conducted in offline mode for admission to BA LLB at NLU Delhi. As per the AILEt exam pattern, it will comprise 150 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 120 minutes. The AILET entrance exam will be divided into 3 sections, namely, English Language (50 questions), Current Affairs & General Knowledge (30 questions), and Logical Reasoning (70 questions). AILET 2026 Syllabus

For BA LLB, the AILET syllabus is divided into three main sections: English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. There will be 50 questions on English, 30 on Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and 70 on Logical Reasoning. AILET 2026 Admit Card

NLU Delhi will tentatively release the AILET admit card 2026 in the last week of November 2025, approximately 10-12 days before the AILET exam date. Using their AILET application number and password, candidates can download it from the official website at www.nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. It will have AILET exam centre details, candidate's roll number, reporting time, and exam day instructions. Candidates need to carry their AILET admit card to the exam centres with a government-issued ID for verification. 

AILET 2026 Answer Key

AILET answer key 2026 will be released by the National Law University, Delhi, shortly after the exam. The answer key will be issued in two stages, i.e., a provisional answer key followed by a final answer key. The university will first release the AILET provisional answer key, and after considering any objections raised by candidates, the AILET final answer key will be released. 

Candidates can download the answer key from the official NLU Delhi website without needing login credentials. The final answer key will be considered final and will be published a few days after the provisional key. 

AILET Result 2026

AILET result 2026 will be declared about 4-5 days after the exam. Candidates can download their results online from the official NLU Delhi website by logging into their AILET account. AILET result will be presented in the form of a scorecard carrying details of marks obtained, All India rank, and qualifying status of the candidate. The final result will be prepared after considering all objections to the provisional answer key. 

AILET 2026 Counselling

Once the AILET 2026 results are announced, shortlisted candidates are invited for the AILET counselling process 2026. Such candidates are required to register online for counselling, upload required documents, and pay the counselling fee. The final seat allotment is done based on the candidate's ranks, preferences, and seat availability in the BA LLB course. AILET counselling will likely be held in multiple rounds to fill the allotted seats. For updates on AILET counselling schedules, candidates must regularly check the official NLU Delhi website.  

AILET Cutoff 2026

NLU Delhi will release the AILET cutoff 2026 during the counselling and seat allotment process. It is the minimum rank or marks required to secure admission to its BA LLB, LLM, and PhD programs. AILET cutoffs depend on factors like seat availability, exam difficulty, number of applicants, and category. It is expected that for the General category, it will be between 50 and 60, while for reserved categories, it might be lower.
